I've been getting calls at work from this number for a month now. As it does appear on my caller id, I typically ignore the call and let it go to voicemail. Note that they never leave a message. The few times I pick up, the line seems dead. Today I held on for about 8 seconds and finally I heard background noise. It sounded like an office full of people speaking on their telephones. I said 'hello' and waited for someone to say something. Nothing. So I hung up. I would be even more annoyed if they called my cell and wasted my minutes.
Received call asking for the name of our IT Director, then asked to be transfered. When transfered it went to voicemail she called back and I told her he was there and busy with work and I asked how I could help her, She cut me of asking when would be a better time to call. I did not answer and asked her what she needed help with. She said she needed to speak with someone who knew of our internet service provider. Needless to say she said she would call back. And I am ready to play the hold game with her :)
I just got a call from this number. I didn't recognize it so I ignored it. The call was then routed to our admin staff, but it appeared to them as if the person had dialed directly, not as if it was an automatic transfer (you know, "press "0" if you need immediate assistance". So they somehow fooled out system. Anyway, they routed the call back to me and when I answered, I got no response, but I could tell it was room full of operators. And I did hear someone say in the background saying Network something or other magazine. But the person on the phone with me never responded.
Called, let it ring twice, and then they appeared to hang up when no one was answering. Caller ID was "UNKNOWN NAME".
I keep getting calls from this number on my private line and they never leave a message. I want them to stop calling my number.
