I believe it is scammers from Craigslist....if you had something posted recently I betcha that's your answer....they say they are on an oil rig or overseas or not able to use phone but they will pay you through PayPal and then you are to wire money to some body else" their shipping agent" because they can't send you money through PayPal till you do...and they send you a fake PayPal page...so basically when you get an email from them which is every time you post on Craigslist and you tell them to f off learn English etc...they start Skyping you and sending texts via email.....

I got it a bunch of times and finally answered. They said I've been approved for the auto loan I applied for. It was an Indian guy. I told him I don't know what he's talking about and not to call me anymore. He proceeded to argue with me. Asked why would I apply if I didn't need a loan, and shouldn't waste their time. I told them to take their scam elsewhere and he hung up. They called me back half an hour later but I missed it.

26 Mar 2013These people are from India man. They were on Katie several weeks ago. They have thousands of blocks of cell phone numbers from legal Indians here who purchased them here from Verizon and Sprint and they have lots of info on you. They even went to India and saw the people calling inside the boss came outside, closed the door and said, "No, this is not a call center." They scam money from your credit card. A hundred here, a thousand here or there. We cannot prosecute, it's out of the country. Crazy Indians. Don't answer if you don't recognize the number. They call from Illinois, Michigan, Oregon ,D.C., Washington, everywhere. I am so frustrated that I personally will not purchase any products from India. It use to be Nigeria, and Jamaica Man, and now it's India. Or perhaps, The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming. The Police can't help us. I have tried and they said it comes for out of the country. Maybe it is Africa like England said. I am now getting many many calls a day.

I got 2 phone calls from this number in one day. The first was from afni (collections group from dish network) the second was a call from someone saying I qualified for $7000 in government grants but when I refused to give my bank info I was hung up on. Several calls later (to Verizon and dish network) I now know that it's a number that my phones puts in automatically from any toll free number that in most phones show up as unavailable. Instead of unavailable/restricted I get the 11 digit number. Please know I have an iPhone and Verizon said that's what it does and they can't change it. So all in all u still don't know exactly whose calling...could still be anyone with a blocked phone number. Hope this helps a little.

Seems like it's not one exact source from where the calls are originating. Seems like it's how Verizon codes "private" or "blocked" calls.

I am sick of getting calls from this number. A person with a heavy East Indian accent named "Michael Walker" or one of his cohorts calls and asks for "Mario Stump". I have told them many times that I am not Mario Stump nor do I know Mr. Stump. He claims that he is with the Investigation Department of Pennsylvania and I did get a call back number from him of: 717-257-2333. He was very rude and very persistant and I have asked on numerous occassions to be placed on their do not call list but alas no luck. I have not tried the call back number yet. so If anyone is interested in calling Mr Walker feel free.

My mom got a call from this number and when she answered that creepy computer lady was talking. My mom hung up and then it called again like 5 hours later
