Received a call from 866-385-1344 with an extension of 7693 and said they (Alan) were with CIBC. When I called the number it did NOT say CIBC and when I keyed in the extension it stated this extension could not take calls.

Received a call saying it was fromCIBC regarding an airline flight for $3,000. Told him that he was a scammer and should get lost.
Considering I just applied for a cc yesterday and do not have any other accounts with CIBC as of yet, the red flags flew up. I don't even have the card yet and the fraud dept is calling me today and from a terrible line, speaking as if his voice is shaky? Ya, ok. What's up with that though? Someone inside selling info?
