You are right. They are an a**hole, an unprofessional one at that. They should be fired.....oh wait they work for a bunch of crooks.
Antoine Smith called stating April's processing billing was billed incorrectly..I must call Heather Vanhorn District Manager for and reimbursement interview...I laughed when I saw the message on my desk. I called and left a message to mail me a corrected April billing statement.
We got a call saying they (SBGA) wanted to follow-up on making an appointment for reviewing our statement because Visa and MasterCard raised their rates and they are the company hired by them to make sure companies get their proper reimbursements for the overage charge. I asked numerous times if they were a credit card processor just trying to get our business to switch to them and the girl I spoke to (said her name was Crystal) denied that on every question I asked. It is rude and they should be arrested or fined for giving false information just to get their foot in the door. Not everyone is stupid SBGA. I hope you get shut down!!!!!Same number as above with extension 2076.
They identify themselves as calling from our business merchant services company. (We don't have a Merchant Services account with anyone.) We're a small medical practice taking calls from patients with breathing issues. Recently they tie up our phones lines every other day. I've asked them nicely to stop calling. I've reasoned with them that they potentially could cause a problem with someone desperate to speak to our staff, but unable to get the call through to our office. Their response is to use scare tactics regarding fraud, etc.I asked for the number to call back and received "866-644-0028." The company recording for that number identifies them as "Small Business Growth Alliance."I'd like to report them to prevent any future calls, but don't know who to call.
A rep from SBGA called and told my customer service rep that they were "confirming" an appt for tomorrow at 10am with me (the owner) to review our credit card charges and determine the amount of a refund we were due for overcharges for our merchant services. My rep, of course, said thank you, see you tomorrow and I received an email confirmation for the appt. Only problem is, I didn't call SBGA for any merchant services help or consultation and I am angry that they used a lie to gain access to me and my time through my company customer service rep who would not have known any better. ANY company that has to lie to get in front of you isn't worth the time to meet with even if I'd have been interested in learning more about their products. If you have a legit product to sell that can help a business save money or time, then put that foot forward to make the sale, not a bold-faced lie. Beware, SBGA is a scam company with unethical business practices.
received a fax reminding me of an appointment I never made and to call 866-644-0028 ext 2571 for an expedited review to identify overcharges on my account to ensure I am compliant with IRS mandate 6050Wno idea who they are, I think they're fishing
The people calling our businesses are simply the middle man. Visa and master card needs to wake up, and enable businesses to go direct. In most cases we sign on with a processing company, who submits our information to a financial institution, and the financial institution is where our statements come from. Sometimes there are several companies our information passes through before landing at the processing bank. Everyone is making something off the deal.Assume we are over charged only $0.25 per month, multiply that by 100,000 merchants and it's a pretty good income. We all know we get hit with more than $0.25 per month.I believe PCI compliance fees go back to the middle man who submitted our deal.I do not know these people, but I have googled them.It is my belief that Jason Moore is the president or managing member of SBGA, inc,This is all public information, other affiliations listed on wiki:Universal Card, inc, Aliso viejo properties LLC, la Quinta enterprises LLC, merchant services inc, 9012 research drive LLC, US Merchant Group, inc, ladcom group, inc, jac fab enterprises inc, the bluffs holdings, LLC, J & J Louisville III, LLC,... Just to mention a few. The list is long and tangled. Some of the above appear to have been closed, but all seem to be connected. We all know what the calls are. Start researching. Uncover the truth. Complain to visa and master card. If they hear enough, maybe they will remove the middle man, or implement some strict controls. And in sales, who gets to review your cost prior to submitting a bid!!? That should tell us all we need to know. They know what the industry cost is, give us your best price, and we'll hire a professional to read between the lines.I have nothing bad to say about any of the above mentioned companies/people. They are doing what they know how to do, and what the industry allows them to get away with. Educate yourself. This is all simply my opinion. I don't claim anything to be a fact. But you should all ask, who is behind all the telemarketers calling us. They are doing their job, and I respect them for that. For everyone one of you I have hung up on, I am sorry. You interfere with my productivity. It took me a long time to just hang up, but we can only be polite for so long. Good for you telemarketers - for taking on a very hard job. It's not easy, and know I am not hanging up on you, I'm saying no to what your company has paid you to do. Good luck to you all.
Wow, did merchant service open the company, small business growth alliance? If that is true, wouldn't it be deceptive to say, merchant services joined the small business growth alliance? Why hide your name? Why create a business that gives the impression that you are on the side of small businesses? Are you trying to hide from your past?My opinion, if you open a company and conduct honest business, why would you ever give up that legacy?Business spend a lot of money on branding. Why would anyone throw that money away, and continue creating different names to operate under? My Questions, and not facts.
