Same as others, blank phone call. Annoying. What does anyone gain by doing this? The number should be taken out of service along with all of the other numbers that have dozens of complaints against them. I just read some other comments. I get hounded by charities daily. Most the police fund but the firefighters, cancer, disabled veterans, and many more call. I have no proof they are who they say. I help when I can but I ask them to mail me the information. If they're legitimate, they will send it to you.

How do they get away with this if you're on the do not call registry? And how do you put a stop to the harassment?

Calls, but we don't answer. Call ID shows "unavailable" for the number or name.

This number called me. I called it back and it was the American Cancer Society. It did give me another 1-866 number to call to talk to someone, or I could chose to press 1 to hear more information. He gave about a 10-15 second description of the Society and at the end of that I had the option to end the call or press 3 to have my number removed. I entered my phone number and they will remove it from their list within 30 days. We'll see!

1:34pm Sunday Rang three times, hung up before answering machine message began.

I have repeatedly gotten calls from this number. Today I answered the call. I said hello and the woman was very pushy. She wanted to know my name. I asked who she was and she said some name and stated that she was calling from some Cancer Society. I told her that I am on the do not call list and want her to remove my number from her list and that I don't ever want to be called by them again. She said she'd remove my number but first she needed my name. I wouldn't tell her my name. I repeated that she was to remove the phone number from her list. This is definitely some kind of scam. Beware!

Called at 2:25 PM. I didn't pick it up.

Its American Cancer Society, have some compassion people.
