Message on phone stated that it was very important that we contact McQuary Law Firm about a very important legal matter.
they called our house 3 times. once they didn't leave a message. but it was a lady that called and said the very exact thing. important legal matter. but they didn't say who they were calling for. just gave this number and the law firm
did anyone ever find out what they were calling about? i just recieved a call from them today and it was a lady, Kimberly, and that is exactly what she said. call in regards to an important legal matter.
Got the same call myself with the exact same message about an important legal matter, and I am on the Do Not Call list.
Got the same call......."important legal matter" and the phone number. I don't know what they want but until a "human" calls me with a real reason i will ignore it.
According to papers I was mailed a while back, they're a sort of collections agency. In my case, it was trying to collect on a speeding ticket from some tiny little town in Texas off I-45 that's since lapsed.
Got a call today from them. They asked for a Mr. so and so and I immediately hung up. I googled the number then called them back. They wanted to verify it was me but i wouldnt do it and i asked what they wanted ,but they wouldnt tell me unless i verified it was me. Then I said in regards to so and so he wishes to only do correspondence thru the mail. She then said,"Sorry Sir,we will remove you from our phone list immediately." Still have no clue what they wanted.
I called back the number and a representative asked ME what number the recording had called, gave him number and he said there were no records for that phone number. Sounds like a total scam to me! He was unable to remove this business number from his data-base..Hmmmm they didn't have any idea why it had called our business? Sounds like an auto dialing system that pulls numbers from thin air.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
