I received call from this number from someone saying they were wells Fargo online accounts, The asked for my online password. so I hung-up and call the bank directly. They informed me they had not tried to reach me and would never ask for my online account information over the phone

I had a message asking me to call back on this number, which I just did. I was NOT asked to provide information that could have compromised the security of my account. I was only asked to provide a TRANSACTION number contained in a notification sent to my email account. Since I didn't have the transaction number, the conversation had to be halted. My take: The call from this number was legitimate.

I just got a call from this number. They just asked me if I am who I am! They already had my full name. They were from Wells Fargo and were calling about an issue that I had with an electronic bill payment. It was totally legitimate and they asked for no detailed info from me other than the resolution of this issue.

Got phone call from this number. The guy names Daniel left message to me. They had money transferred into my account half month ago. BUT I do not have wells fargo account. And they know my maiden name. Which I have never used since I moved to the US. I am not going to call them back. I am tired of these people.

It is NOT Wells Fargo and the replies on this website saying that it is must be part of the scam. Do not give them ANY info if you value your money.

I believe that it IS INDEED WELLS FARGO, the Bill Pay Claims department. I had a claim filed (twice!) in early August which they had acknowledged up front and promised to rectify, then cancelled the claim accepting responsibility and been in cover-up mode ever since. Only when I told them I had a letter already written to the CEO that would be emailed, w/ certified and regular mail backup, TODAY, did they decide to help, and, as promised, called me to report on the results of their latest search. She knew enough details about my claim that I'm sure it was her. Plus, there was no caller ID other than incoming number, and when I got to this page and saw WFB, called the number back immediately, and got a WFB agent. Yes, she asked a Lot of questions prior to discussing account, including the full account number, but we got our business satisfactorily completed.The number 877-329-7736 was given to me yesterday by WFB corporate HQ as being the Bill Pay Claims department, and I've called it twice, gotten the right people both times.
