Medical records are kept by doctors. Your insurance company does not have your "medical record". they only thing your insurance has is claims billed to your insurance. and these nurses do not handle claims. The nurse I spoke with was very helpful.

Left a msg without indicating what business just that it wasn't a scam. If it is Blue Shield, it really bothers me that they didn't just say so. It makes me think they are trying to scam me. Possibly a third party for them.

Woman called saying she was a nurse and wanted to help improve my health care services. Asked me to confirm my identity and asked for my DOB and address. I told her that I was not comfortable giving that information out since I had no way of verifying that she was actually with blue shield. She said I could check the phone number. I said that could easily be spoofed. She hung up. Definitely a SCAM. Be careful everyone.

Left a message claiming to be Blue Shield of CA offering a "service that is of no cost to you." No health insurance these days offers freebies. Caller ID listed only the phone number as mentioned which usually means it's a spoofed number. Many companies say they won't call you for information they will rather contact you in the mail with any offers. So I wouldn't feel safe giving them any of my information they should already have. Going to report this to Blue Shield and block.
