Fake Capital One caller. I won a disputed charge from a Chinese knock-off product. Capital One ruled in my favor and refunded the funds from the charge back to me. The guy who called from this number claimed to be from Capital One and said my charge back was now reversed and I should log on and cancel the disputed amount. The caller from this number is a scammer - not Capital One.
This is a FAKE number-- they claim to be Capital One but I just verified with an actual representative from Capital One that this is a scam and someone pretending to be affiliated with Capital One.
Like TJ above, I also received a call claiming they were from Capital One. I previously had a bad experience with someone doing the same thing and learned from the experience. If you get a phone call like this, call the number on your card instead.
They also left another number I could call, 800-887-8643, which also comes up as from Capital One on this site, however, Capital One verified these are not their phone numbers.
I just got a call from 1-877-539-1136 and the person left a message stating they were calling from Capital One regarding an important business matter. The first thing I did was check my accounts for a secure message since this is the way they usually contact you initially asking you to call them. None of my accounts with them had a message, then I googled the number and found this complaint board. I'm glad I didn't call the number.It's really sad what people will stoop to in order to steal and misuse your information.
Actually, this is really Capital One. I also got a from this number regarding disputed claims, and was suspicious. I did have a disputed claim, but hung up the phone after googling this site, and before I gave out too much info. Called Capital One on the back of my card, and they verified this number, transferred me to the same people I spoke with before, who verified my claim amount and advised me that my dispute was resolved.
Obviously a SCAM, and anyone who says they aren't must be part of the scam.'Margaret' left a message, but she didn't know my name. When I called back she asked me for my account number. I said, "If you're Capital One you must know my account number," and hung up.

Comes up in my phone as a medical clinic, but when I called them they're some business that supposedly works with Medicare? I'm too young for medicare. Scam call.
Sounds like a potential call center scam.
Said they were from Bank of America calling me about a fraud alert on my account. When I told them I do not have an account with B o A - they hung up on me. Ironic!
They said it's a business call from northern light. Not real and clearly spam. Northern light must have its phone numbers data leaked.
