Credit card fraud department ( Bank Of America )

Called and left message, claimed to be from Fraud Center and it was urgent that I call back. Called my bank at their main number and they said it is not them. Said based on the info I gave them it is a scam trying to get card information.

calling asking for info, Do they think I'm stupid. I don't give out ss numbers or any info that would jepordize my idenity

Bank of America courtesy call reminding me that a vendor I have a membership with needs to update their billing to my new CC number, not my old one. They didn't ask for my info and didn't ask for personal info. It's a known issue. So legit for me, but always be careful.

They called me a 6:30 in the morning in a very demanding tone..... I asked what was the call about and the answer was a long silence....

The real phone number is 800-472-7970. I called them yesterday about fraud charges on my credit card. Hope this helps?

(877) 825-5433 is the Bank of America Fraud dept. They called me about a fraud I reported to update me on the info.

Said he was with the Fraud Dep..Said they needed to get in touch with my wife. They called my daughter & my #,but did not call my wife.

They called me because someone who cake into my place of business regularly (5 to 20 times per month, a restaurant) for past 7 years and laid wit a credit card had died. Turns out his son, who is a cheap SOB, is trying to charge back all of his credit card charges so they won't have to pay the bill out of the estate. So fraud department is probably trying to trick me into paying it all back, which is ridiculous. Our lawyer recommended to ignore their calls at all costs. This is the very bottom level of fraud investigation. They have no legal recourse to make you pay until they file a claim in federal court. So I would ignore. These are the lowest level employees trying to get $$$ out of innocent people and basically act as unverified debt collectors. My attorney, who has dealt with this sort of thing before, says ignore all calls from this number. If they need to reach you'll they'll secs a certified letter.
