Received call from 877-876-4083 re: possible fraudulent use of my VISA. I didn't recognize the number so called my financial institution. The financial institution said the 877-876-4083 number is from the VISA Fraud center and valid but since I had called my financial institution, they reviewed my charges and yes, 2 fraudulent attempts were made today. I am going to suggest to my financial institution that they publish this 877 number in their literature or website so people like me can know this is a legit number. Anyone else reading this may want to tell your financial institution to publish the number likewise.

They called me several times. I called back and the message said it was affinity federal credit union fraud prevention, only used my card for a $19 charge and no other transactions. Not going through hoops to verify that amount. I will discontinue my Visas if this is thd new practice. Screw them.

You're an idiot if you don't verify this amount. it's for your protection and they will stop your visa from working. It's not a new practice, it's fraud prevention and this is how banks handle it. Use cash from now on.

Numerous calls from this #, it's always Visa Fraud and they always leave a message and will call numerous times to try and reach you, otherwise they will deactivate your card.

The only number anyone should call is the number on the back of their credit or debit card.
