Also called looking for my dad at my home number. No idea how they cross referenced that information since he's never been listed at this number. The voice mail also asked for a call back to Ms. Dennis at x6756. Apparently, this call was from USB INc, a collection agency although the company name was difficult to make out on the voice mail (possibly intentionally). Based on some quick research, debt collectors can't call a third party to attempt to collect on debt and I believe this call would qualify.
We have received a couple of calls from this number, also. The woman who calls is very hard to understand and also refers to a case number. I believe she does state what company she is with, but the quality of the recording is so poor that none of us can understand it! In her latest message she did say she was calling to "collect a debt." She's trying to locate our daughter. We will make sure to be present when my daughter responds to this call - using speaker phone - so that we can monitor and direct any kind of response on her end. Ugghhh...as if we don't already have enough things to contend with!

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.

We receive calls at our place of business from these people every day and they claim to be with Spectrum. It sounds like a call center in India; noisy background noise and each person who calls has a strong accent.
