The reason why they are calling is because either you submitted an application for a credit card, or someone did it for you in your name ( Id theft) they are trying to check if the application is false or not... If not they will need to verify to make sure it is you... It's not a scam, you don't pay for anything, it's just part of the customer protection unit for boa... How do I know? Because I work in the CPU department for boa...
Card company, or credit card services, is the name boa uses, because they don't just handle bank of America applications for credit cards, so credit card services is a legal name we sometimes use...
