This number is the Welcome Center for Nation Star Mortgage - they took over AmTrust Bank mortgages because AmTrust is bankrupt. Yes, it is irritating that they call so frequently but once they get to talk to you, they do not keep calling - they wanted to know if I had all the info required to pay my "new" mortgage. They did not hassle me.
I don't have a mortagage with them anymore and my phone number is on the no not call registry. I don't appreciate them calling me on my pay by the minute phone.
Received a call from this # today. No message was left. Caller ID was "Unavailable" I never pick up for #'s I don't recognize.
Nationstar has also bought (?) servicing rights on some Bank of America Mortgages 12//13-1//14, had some clumseyness in transfer (tax time too) but seem to be getting straightened out.

Yes it is Nationstar. They also took over ERA mortgage servicing. The best advice I can give is to, when you call them, do not give ss#, continue to press 0 for each prompt. Then at some point you are sent to a rep. If they do not speak clearly, ASK FOR A USA REP. then when they ask for ss# again, ASK them if you can verify some other information for them because you are not comfortable giving your ss#. Also, once you are notified your mortgage is transferred, you should have a 60 day period to get all your payments caught up, WITHOUT paying ANY late fees. If you are told differently, they are wrong. It is the law. During that period if you send your previous mortgage holder your payment, it i BE FORWARDED TO YOUR account. All payments and dates remain the same. If they do not send your statement and your payment is due, CONTACT them now. The BBB has many horror stories from people having to deal with this company. You may need to look into that. Do not forget to notify your insurance if your coverage is through escrow. I do hope this helps, God bless you all. BE AWARE, they ARE a debt collector.

Said they were from Bank of America calling me about a fraud alert on my account. When I told them I do not have an account with B o A - they hung up on me. Ironic!
They said it's a business call from northern light. Not real and clearly spam. Northern light must have its phone numbers data leaked.
