Got this call 5 mins ago and it's basically the same dialog as the others shown. Guy wanted me to login to our amazon acct (he couldn't tell me which one) so I could canx the order. Knew it was a scam at that point so hung up. Funny thing is that they identify themselves as Amazon and give a name like Michael!! Beware!
Caller says an Apple I phone has been purchased on my Amazon account. Not true of course. Wouldn't trust this phone number
robocall stating that an iPhone had been purchased on my amazon acct and to call them back to authorize or dispute the purchase! I think if this was a legitimate concern, the company would use a LIVE person to discuss the matter with me!
I was told to call this number by a pre-recorded voice claiming a charge had been made on my Amazon account. I called the ACTUAL Amazon number and was told it was a scam.
Just got a call from this number claiming that someone ordered an iphone on my amazon account and I needed to go to a specific website to get a refund and stop the transaction. Its a scam!
The called at 1:12 MST and threatened that $500 was being withdrawn from my account and I needed to call them to dispute the transaction. They are threatening and this robo call is unpleasant.
They called at 11:30 am EST and left an incomplete message on my answer machine about calling them back to dispute or authorize a charge.
Kind of a garbled message - something about a $569.00 charge and if I want to dispute it to call them.
