I answered this - it was a recording and the woman's voice said she wanted to talk to me about my IRS tax debt (which I don't have) then started rambling about Obama. Don't answer.

Same as everyone else...no human at the other end.

got call, did not recognize area code, did not answer, they did not leave a message but I also received 617 secionds before and didn't answer this either.

Just received a call from this number on my cell, and when I answer no one answer back.

They just held the telephone and this number does not accept incoming calls

Called, left no message and not in service to call back. Only reason I called back is because it was NC and i have an old room mate that lives in NC but was not him. The one person said dont answer and they will stop calling, not true. I never answer and have been getting calls from numerous number. I was getting a call from one number every 2 hrs for a 4 days straight! I really wish they would find out where these calls are coming from and have them blocked. Ive done that too. Just block the numbers as they come.

This is likely an OffShore scam, as of Jan 2012 the number "is not in service". This means they the phone center is probably OffShore, outside the US Law so they cant be charged. They have their phone machine call all US numbers that are usable, and use a FAKE or non-existent US phone number to bounce their offshore calls from so they appear to be calling from a US location. There is nothing anyone here can do except hangup or harass them by asking for their Wrightsville, North Carolina business license, address, etc. If one does answer these calls give them NO info about yourself and ask them questions and they will hang up and list you as a dead mark. It is generally not wise to answer these kind of unknown calls as they can Mark you as someone who does pick up the phone call and sell this data to others who then call you AGAIN to try to sell other things or to steal your identity info and rip you off. Or if you have a blocking system on your phone use it to block this number from their in bound calls.

The politicians are steal all of Americas money for themselves and have no interest in you or i or anyone in America other than big business.

Computerized voice - identifies herself as "Sarah (?)" - then goes into sales pitch on how to elimiate IRA back taxes....select option 1 to speak to someone, or option 7 to be taken off list....I have entered option 7 the prior two attempts, but still receiving calls. Received two today within one hour.
