I let the call go to voicemail, the only thing heard on voicemail was "system. To opt out press 9."
Called last night 12AM india Or china Caller "Pc Tech Support" I hung up right away. one more number to block: seems to change offten..what make this so bad is the time! seems these people are trying to get people in there sleep.
Placed number on reject list, but not before they left a message. It was a recorded message regarding the medic alert bracelet. That part of the call that recorded said that if you wanted to opt out to push #9. Problem is, no one listens long enough to "opt out" but I wonder if that actually does anything!
robo "opt out" #9 May mean = No to medic bracelet ..but it moves you along the scammer list of scam . Bets to disconnect the call by hangup.
I've had maybe 200 different callers call me (in the last year) with Caller ID information that looks spoofed, and this call today falls into that same rat hole. First-time call, too. Fortunately, my online call-blocking service already had blacklisted the number, so it rang only once before disconnecting. NEVER give callers you don't know any information about you; better yet, disconnect the call and/or hang up right away. Any response by you like "Hello" only confirms the fact that your number is valid, and you'll be hassled by countless numbers of additional crooks and spammers.
Caller ID said "M J Amato Farm". Prerecorded voice came on saying that since I was a senior, I was eligible for a free medical alert. I could press "1" to get the alert, press "9" to opt out. I chose a 3rd option: I hung up.
Just called my home phone. Recorded older sounding male voice yelled, "Hello seniors!" Then he went into a familiar spiel about how all senior Americans are entitled to have a free medical alert system. I hung up and immediately filed an FTC complaint.
A scammer finally left a message on my answering machine, rather than just the usual dead air! They offered me a free medical alert bracelet, recommended by a friend. Now blocked forever.
Called at 12:30 pm today. Left message saying based on a referral, I was eligible for a free medical alert. Caller ID was "M.J. Amato Farm". Definitely a SCAM!!!! Blocked.
I answered this call about medic alert. My caller ID listed them to be J M Amato Farm. For sure this is a scam. I thought it was funny that I had just looked at Medic alert on the web while I was on facebook. I am on the "do not call list" and these people think they can avoid that by spoofing someone else's phone number.
