I've been getting calls from this # too but never answer (MN). Annoying when you're waiting for call backs from jobs and get a bunch of these calls! Ugh!
It's a "credit card reduction" scam. if you give them your real info you will be sorry (id theft). I like to mess with them by giving them humorous names like "Craven morehead." The more you waste their time the less people they can scam.
We just got a call from this number on my H.S. sr's cell. No one in our household even has a credit card.
I just got a call from this number. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. Sent to voicemail, but they left no message. This came in on my Google number. After reading all this, I'm glad I missed it.

I got called by 917-297-5533. No message left. I called back this morning and "the inbox is full," says the automated voice. Automated communications are garbage. Look up the TCPA (Tel. Consumer Protection Act). It's against the law to use machines to make unwanted/unsolicited calls and fax transmissions. I don't know about phone calls, but the money damages for liability from unsolicited faxes is worth at least googling the statute that congress passed.
I received a call at 7:10pm CST on my work phone...not a cell phone. St. Louis area code. I didn't answer and they did not leave a message.
