just got a call from this number at 4:10 Central on my cell. Pressed 1 and got hung up on before anyone said anything to me. I googled the number and found this site. very interesting. hope they don't continue to call.
THEY CALL ME EVERY OTHER DAY USING MY MINUTES UP THEN WHEN YOU GET THEM ON THE PHONE THEY TRY TO GET YOU BUY THIS STUPID WARRENTY AND WANT YOU TO GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCT INFO OR GIVE THEM YOUR CC INFO WHAT A SCAM. I ASKED FOR A CONTRACT OF WHAT THEY WERE OFFERING BEFORE I GIVE THEM MY INFO THEY SAID THAT IT WILL COME AFTER I GIVE THEM MY BANK INFO AND THEY DRAFT THE FIRST PAYMENT. LUCKILY I HAVE A GOOD HEAD ON MY SHOULDER..I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER BECAUSE I DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY I COULD NOT GET A COPY OF THE CONTRACT IN THE MAIL FIRST THEY HU ON ME...LOL I FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE THAT THEY HAVE RIPPED OFF...
Looks like these guys were busy today... I get a call about once a week from this number. I pressed 1 today to talk w/ rep. and when I asked him how they got my number he hung up on me...wtf, I don't mind a prank call, at least they are funny, but this is just annoying. My POS car doesn't even have a warranty.
I have received several calls from these people over the past few months and I typically ignore them. This week they have called me every day so I decided to pick up and have some fun today. After pressing 1 to speak to a person, some lady answered who did not identify herfelf or a company. I told her I was inquiring about the extended warranty and would love to have someone provide a warranty for my 99' truck with over 150k miles on it. She said they would warranty vehicles of my year model but not with as many miles as I have. I asked to be removed from their calling list since they could not do me any service. She asked for my number so she could remove it but I told her I did not want to give my number because they already have it. She said their outband call team had it not her and my response was "oh you mean the auto-dialer?" I told her she was calling my illegally and they needed to remove my number or I would call the police. She just said have a nice day and hung up. My thought is if everyone gives them a hard time and harrasses them back when they call, perhaps the employees of this scam will get so frustrated and eventually just quit.
Yeah, they were busy today allright - I've been getting calls form them off and on for a few weeks now and today I decided to play along (by coincidence I have a vehicle that was purchased new, and warranty is about to expire, but I figured this was some kind of funky deal anyway).I punched zero and got through to this dude "Chris" with "Auto Solutions" in "Phoenix Arizona", and this person really didn't want to give me his name or any of the other info, but this is what I got after prodding and cajoling, and kept him going for a good 5 or 10 minutes wasting his time. He didn't want to answer any of my questions ("What does that have to do with a warranty sir") but I am very inquisitive and persistent, plus very dull and slow, and I explain things reeeeeeeeaaaaalllly lengthy (if you can't tell already).....anyway he was on the line so long that he actually volunteered to put me on a do-not-call list, so we'll see if that works....if it doesn't, I'll look forward to wasting TONS of their time on the next call since I'm a gearhead from way back and have A MILLION technical questions to ask them (and a lot of car stories to interject along the way as we build our newfound client relationship) and I'm totally STOKED about getting a warranty and want to know all about each and every detail for every one of my imaginary cars! :)
