I have answered and the tell my car warranty is expiring soon --HA I have none. I bought it used from a private party. IDIOTS. -- they keep calling back on my cell phone. I cannot get rid of them!

I recieved this call on 6/3/08 at 8:40 PM. It was a missed call. I did not call it back, because it was on my cell phone and didnt want to waste my minutes on a number I did not know. The prefix number (468) is the same as mine. So, I was curious if the number was a telemarketer in the "area". I am in Florida but the call is from OK.Oh well. No clue what to do.

All i read at the FTC site is that it is prohibited for telemarketers to call using automated dialers:Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers are barred from calling consumers on their cell phones without their consent.And that Do Not Call registry is not required to protect from *most* telemarketing calls. Not all.Do have other information or know a Federal law that explicitly prohibits telemarketers from calling cell phones? It would be useful in explaining this to my wireless provider so i can start reversing charges.

this # just called me a few min ago on my work cell phone that was just created a month ago.

I just moved and have had my current phone number since May 10th 2008. I have gotten calls from these people everyday since then. I've asked them to take me off thier list at least 20 times and they continue to call. It's mking me freaking crazy. I don't know what to do???????????????

Unfortunately, caller id numbers can be spoofed. If you don't recognize a number, let it go to voice mail. If no message is left, no problem :)

I receive a daily call. They are selling car extended Warranty

I just called the 1-800 nuber that was posted and spoke to a guy named Anthony who said he was with a legitimate auto warranty company, and that these people don't work for him, but when they have a disgruntled customer they give the customer Anthony's number since he's the competition. Anthony said that this is causing his customer service department to be overloaded and overwhelmed because they are fielding all of these calls and it's been hurting his business. He also said that they have filed a lawsuit and cease and desist (sp?) order, but have had no luck actually finding these people. He apologized a lot.This is just what I was told, this Anthony guy seemed sincere, but who knows. Just a warning to everyone out there that nno matter what you say, they WILL NOT stop calling. If anyone is actually able to successfully get on the "Do Not Call" list for this BS scamming company, please tell us what you did, so we can all do it too!!!

Just received a second call from this number on my cell. Same thing as what's been stated here.
