I got another call from these guys. The last one was on 1/25/12. I've reported them numerous times, but nothing seems to make them stop!!!!!
It is NOT Thomas and Heidi Hamm, nor is it anyone affiliated with them or their business. If you call the FTC they will take your complaint, just make sure you have all the details of the date/time/conversation (if any occurred).I, personally, have been receiving calls from this company for over 2 years. They are operating outside of the law, and they know they are, which is why they are rude, swear, hang up on you, etc. Anyone who cares enough can do a little research online and learn, as I did, that this SAME company has been shut-down 3 times now by the government, FINED millions of dollars for their blatant violations of the law, and STILL they go right back to spoofing numbers and calling illegally. If any of you care to know, here's how their scam works (at least the versions of it that have been shut-down in the past):They mis-identify themselves as being from "Your credit card company." They offer you valuable information on how to save yourself thousands of dollars in interest every year by reading their information. What a great deal, right, so apparently some gullible people listen. They then tell you that they are selling this interest kit at prices ranging from $495-$1599, conveniently charged to your credit card "with them." You agree to the charge, and 30 or so days later you receive a letter in the mail. It's one-page, typewritten, telling you that you can save thousands of dollars annually in interest by PAYING OFF YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!Seriously? Yeah. Well, though many red flags appear during the call, the biggest one was that if they're my credit card company, why do I have to give them the number? When Capital One calls me, I don't have to give them a thing!Other than repeatedly calling the FTC and filing complaints, there's nothing you can do to stop these morons. Block whatever number they're calling from this month and hope the FTC can figure out where in the world they're calling from this time....though even then, they'll apparently be back.Be smart consumers. Protect yourselves.
Received call on my cell. Didn't answer. But I called the number back from my work land line. It gives you a message that says the mailbox is currently full and not accepting any calls. I've had it happen several times with other phone numbers as well. Why can't we call them!! How are they getting cell numbers now!!
I get calls from this # on my home and cell phones up to 3 times per day. They refuse to take me off the call list. I have placed both phones on the national no call list with no improvement. I have found that if I select 1 and talk nicely to the caller, I can keep them on the phone for up to 45 minutes making them believe I am going to give them my card numbers. When I tell them I just kept them from calling someone else and cost their company $, they usually curse me and call me names. Usually, I don't get the calls again for several weeks then. I have special chores set up to do while I keep them on the phone. Does anyone know how to get off these lists? I called the credit cards, and they assure me that they have not authorized any of these calls.
Get these calls on my cell and on my land line, both of which are Do Not Call Numbers.
Received 4 calls this week. Did not call back. Called Verizon today and they put a block on 920 area code and all out of the continental US calls. The guy said it was a Nova Scotia.
I do have a contact named Block Caller. I just put the number in and they automatically go to voicemail since I have it set up that way. If I get too many I guess I'll just Make another contact!
