called, did not leave message.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone on 3-27-09 at 8:37am. I couldn't get to the phone right then, so they left a message. I listened to the message and it said it was from a pediatrics clinic returning my call. Thinking that a parent called a pediatrics clinic and was waiting for a return call, I called the number back to let them know they got the wrong number. When I called it back I got a recording saying "this number does not accept calls, but thank you for calling". So much for being a good Samaritan. These numbers that call and hang up or leave a message that gets you to return a call are people trying to find out the times of day when you are most likely to use your phone. They sell this information to telemarketers. This caller is using a pediatrics office to play on the morals of people wanting to do the right thing and help out a concerned parent get their return call in a timely manner. This sort of thing will only make people not want to help each other for fear of being duped and sold off to telemarketers. This is just another tear in our moral fabric.

yeah, that number IS actually the flagstaff medical center outgoing number. not a scam. in this case, at least. you just need the righ number and extension to call back. in this case, likely mt. view pediatrics. just fyi.

We got a call from this number today (05/18/09 in the late morning). The woman was clearly upset. She asked for the executive director. I asked her name and she would only repeat that she wanted to talk to the executive director. She would not give her name or phone number or what she wanted. She only sternly said repeatedly that she wanted to speak to the executive director. We have none, only an owner of the company. She said if she sat on hold, she would hang up and call back over and over, which she did. Eventually, it turned out she wanted to know about placing a child for adoption in a foreign country. We would like to know from where she called. Mountain View Pediatrics phone number is 779-2800, not 214-2600.

Can you tell us which department - if it is Flagstaff Medical Center? We've been getting calls from this number for a while. I never pick up, I wait to see if they'll leave a message. They never leave a message. My caller ID labels them as "Northern Arizona Hea" but a reverse phone search tells me it's an unlisted land line.There is no reason for FMC to call us. If it is legit, then why hang up without leaving a mesage?
