hmm too bad, thought it was a chick...

I got the same call today. I think phone telemarketing should be bannned altoghether. Instead of a Do Not Call list for telemarketing companies, why not a "You Can Call" list. This list is a list of people that wants telemarketers to call them. Beleive it or not, there are people out that that loves to receive such calls.Otherwise, they can contact me via snail mail (postal mail). I can read it at my convenience without being interupted. If I don't like it I just trash it. Better yet, allow the consumer to write on the mail 'REMOVE FROM LIST' and the post office will accept that mail and return it back to the telemarketing company at their expense.*sigh* Maybe in a perfect world!

I also received a few calls, but the rep was very nice. He explained that since I had an established business relationship with Dish Network or AT&T they could call me and let me know about the current promotions and pricing. I really feel for these people because they have a job to do also. If you are kind to them they are kind in return and will place you on the do not call list if you want. It usually takes 24 hours he said, but I have not received a call since. Good job Etech!

This number calls 2 to 4 times a day. They need to stop?

Received a call from a woman claiming to be calling from ATT and wanted to "bundle" my services. Caller ID labeled it as ETECH and the phone numvber listed was 936-559-2200

i keep receiving calls from this number and let the am get it; however, I did pick up today. they said they were from at&t and thanked me for being a customer for so long. then they immediately asked for my passcode so that they can view my account, he seemed stunned when i said no. i asked why he need that and he stated that in order for him to offer me a deal with at&t wireless, they needed to access my account and needed the passcode to do so. i stated that i never called to inquire about this service and that they called me, so if they were actually a rep from at&t they would already have that info. i also let them know that i am on the do not call list and will report them should they call again an hung up. should they call again, i will absolutely contact the appropriate parties!! hope you all do the same.

Calls and I don't answer. I have a call blocker unit. A button is pushed after the offending caller, and they never get through again.Scott

Calls have bome three or four times a day. I have not answered and do not intend to. Extremely annoying!!

wow...this is crazy. i was 'playing' on the internet one night and found this webpage, i have worked with etech for over 4 years now. i am in texas, i am american, i do speak english, i am college educated, and i love my job. i mostly talk to people who are happy to speak to me and happy to save some money on any bill that they can. most are willing to hear why i'm calling and all are happy at the end of 'our' call. i don't know what kind of jobs everyone here has, but it's just a job to put food on my children's table each day. i certainly do not plan my day around calling someone who will cuss at me and berate me for paying taxes and working long hours and to speak to me as a complete stranger as if i were 4 years old. give that person on the phone a break...we are working too. and have a nice day. :-) i love etech..i HAVE a job!!! p.s. thank you Jack (previous msg) nice to hear you understand. STOP THE HATE.
