CONTINUED TO GET A CALL ALMOST EVERY HOUR FROM THIS #. LOOKED IT UP ON THE INTERNET AND GOT 1-800-397-1083 # AND CALLED AND SPOKE WITH OPERATOR AND ASKED THAT MY # BE REMOVED. SHE WAS VERY NICE AND SAID IT WOULD BE TAKEN OFF.

for 3 weeks on a daily basis calls from this 936-559-2200. I picked up the phone to say take me off your list & the person read his script over & over and the next day I get an e-mail confirming that I had upgraded my DSL service with At & T... when that didn't happen. I complained to AT & T and they were gracious and told me that I could get the same plan that I had at $34.95 a month for $ 19.95 it is called DSL Lite Service Plan...NOW THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND GUY DIDTN'T TELL ME ABOUT THAT PLAN. I HAD HIM REPEAT WHAT HE WAS PUSHING SEVERAL TIMES & THEN TOLD HIM NOT TO CHANGE ANYTHING...SO THIS YO YO ACTUALLY HELPED ME SAVE MONEY..

me too, i keep getting calls from these guys and they won't stop...no messages...online it also seemed like they might be a recruiter as well (?) but not sure.have no idea what can be done to stop it. i'm on the DNC list as well

Etech, Inc. calls (936)-559-2200. Telemarketing to upgrade your DSL service. If you answer the phone, they will record the call and then change your service through a fraudulent conversation. Do not answer this call.

i use to work for e.t.i or whats now called etech ok this is what happens they have a calling router so you number circuts through that router and sometime i guess they run out of calling list so the same one is gone through time in time again, and just so everyone knows its not the people calling and hanging up or not leaving messages the computer decides when to hang up not the employee calling. look i workes there for almost two years they have good pay and benefits and even school reinbursment so give the people calling you a break please they are just doing their job. i worked at the office in nacogdoches, texas and what they told us was unless someone says these EXACT words "PLACE ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST" (a please would be nice too :) lol) then you are placed as a call back it takes like somewhere between 24-48 hours to take effect i think... it could be a month who knows as the rep. on the phone. if they do not do this they can be sued for ALOT it happend to the office i worked at when i was there. you can also join a national DO NOT CALL LIST, im not exactly sure how look it up on the net im sure it will come uo i think its www.donotcallist.gov but dont quote me on that! Also FYI just a little secret i was never one to do this but if you say rude things alot of the customer service people will place you as a call back EARLY saterday morning. so just for your owne sake call and get it taken care of, oh yeah and since you do bussiness with this company ie paying a bill ect.. i THINK the do not call list is only good for 6 months its like if walmart wanted to call you over and over again they can if you continue to do bussiness with them but your best bet would be get on the national do not call list. Just some inside advice lol.

I just followed your instructions - seems so simple and obvious - but self admittedly, I never thought to do that. The operator said they'd have me on the do not call list in 24-48 hours - looks like the problem is solved- thanks for stating the obvious - I needed it!

I got a couple of calls form 936-559-2200. I told them to take me off the list and they just laughed. I then found out they where calling for at&t and I own stock in that company. I called 1-888-757-6500 at&t and told them the problem. They took my number off all of the list they have and was told I will no longer get any phones calls. I have not gotten any calls in the last month. If I do get anymore calls I will call the CEO of etechinc.com at his office and home and see if he likes it.Best of luck

This number calls daily. Generally there is complete silence. Previously when I was able to just sit and wait for the illegal auto dialer to hook-up to one of their telemarketers, they would state they are AT&T. Moments ago same thing. Silence. I wait. Person comes on. Calling about your AT&T yellow pages. We have no ad with AT&T yellow pages. As with previous callers I tell them not to call and we want nothing to do with AT&T. We have no ad with AT&T. They now will get reported to the FCC. It takes a couple of months for response but it does get the calls stopped. If you are annoyed like I am report unwanted calls, especially "auto dialers",(they are illegal) to the FCC.
