Reported to my friend at the FBI and the Secret Service(numbers are easily found in my bluepages), they both say that they wish more people would get involved and report these things. Call the Secret Service or the FBI, they are both involved in internet fraud and counterfeit checks. Report these things to them. Also, you can take any check they send you to the bank and have them check the validity of the document, most likely a copy will be made and the check confiscated but, you are in the clear.PS- Don't bother with answering unregistered or blocked caller id numbers unless you can get a phone number from them to give to an agent, all though these numbers as I'm told are usually from disposable cell phones and do not last very long.

yes this person is still scamming ppls on craigslist. i was about to be one of the victim. actually, i provided this a****** with my name and address, i hope nothing bad will come from giving him my name and address. I just don't understand how his scam work: he will send a draft and is there someone who will actually come pick up the item? or is he/she selling my info? can anyone answer this?thanks

this guy needs a new M.O. i just got hit up with the same story just 2 days ago. his phone number says it comes out of riverside california, I told him that he could not have possible already sent the check cause UPS had not even done their pick ups yet, what a joke.

Got this message for the third time this week for 3 different items that I am selling on Craigslist. All on the auto parts section. What a bunch of scammers. This time I told Kelly Rowland to send the draft to our chief of police and gave them the address and phone number. Why is there no way to stop these scammers.....I am tired of wasting my time.

Send all the info you have PLUS copies of these Google pages to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) so that they can see the volume of scams be worked. If you are a victim they will listen and take action. These guys leave a lot of info behing so they should be easy to trap.They are still asctive as of November 2009.

I hope you go after these [***]. Send all your info and copies of these Google pages to the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission )so that they can see just how wide spread this scam is becoming. Being a victim they will listen to you. If you don't they are going to get someone else.Still scamming as of Nov. 2009

It happened to me too, but my advertising was for a room to rent. What do they get in doing this? I don't get it? Is it really just a joke?
