follow-up #3:I have filed a formal complaint with the Minnesota Department of Commerce, the FTC and am in contact with an attorney regarding CPC. Please contact me if you have received abusive calls from this company, if we get enough people together, maybe we can get a class-action suit going.In my case, they are calling for someone I do not know, and the debt is not mine. The caller asked for 'David', I told him that there has never been a 'David' at this number. He asked if my name was Cyndy, to which I replied that it was. Than he asked why I said that I did not know David. I told him that was not what I had said, I had said that he was never at this number. He said that he wanted his phone number. I told him that I did not have one for him. He hung up on me this time. This is 5th phone call on my caller ID just the last two months.

This number calls once or twice daily on both my cell and home phones. They absolutely never leave a message. I have programmed my phones with a silent ringtone and assigned it to this number so they don't ever bother me.

CPC PHONE NUMBER 952-944-1620 HAS BEEN CALLING MY HOUSE FOR THE PAST EIGHT MONTHS. I have tried several times to explain that the person they are looking for dosent live here and they become angry and yell. I have asked them not to call my house anymore but to no avail. They have called as early as 8 am on a saturday.Now they call and just hang up. They will start at 9 am and keep hanging up until 9 pm. I am reporting them today! I have HAD IT WITH THEM!

Get a life...Have you ever dialed the wrong phone number before? You obviously have a lot of time on your hands, tell them it's the wrong number and move on!!!!!!!

You should take a look at this website: fairdebtcollection.com which shows the fair debt collection act. A collection company can only contact your family members other than a spouse 1 time/1 phone call to get information about where they can reach you (unless you instruct them otherwise) otherwise it's a violation of the fair debt collection act. They can't give your family members any information about the accounts or be rude to them as it's also considered harrasment per the fair debt collection act (FDCA). Also, the reps can't be rude or bullying to you when you are talking to them because it's considered a violation. AND I would NEVER EVER send them ANY $$ or authorize a phone payment where you give them your bank account information unless you have something in writing validating that debt. They are required to validate the debt by producing the original bill & payment agreement from the original creditor or they are legally not allowed to collect on it. In addition, if you give them ANY payment then you are starting the statue of limitations on that debt all over again which you don't want to do. Credit card debts are open agreements and depending on what state you live in usually have a statue of limitations of about 3 years. After the statue of limitations is up they can't collect on those debts anymore. You should definitely get something in writing from them before making any payments and research the laws regarding collection esp. if you think you already paid them off.

This number has been harassing me for the past two months. When I answer they hang up. So now I just hang up on them when they call. If they need something, leave a message on the answering machine... otherwise, leave me alone! You can call all you want to but I am not answering my phone. Why don't you stop wasting your time and go bother somebody else who really does owe some money to someone... that somebody else is not me.

No harassment or rude individuals, but they leave messages on occasion leading you to believe they are a law firm.
