These people have called at least 3 times a day for the past 3 months this is my business I informed them that I am not the person they are looking they never stop calling.
It is there job to get the person that they are looking for. What happens if the said deadbeat changes their phone number or has their cell phone taken away, that number is giving to someone else. Most of the collection agencies are automated now, it is very unfortunate and rude to be calling a house during dinner time, 7 o'clock in the morning on a Saturday or Sunday, or 11 o'clock at night. It is not my responsibility to do their job just so they leave me alone. Nor is it right to give away any personal information, family or not so that they can collect their money. If they have a problem with a person, let them do the research themselves, if they cannot get the information they need, let them sue the person. A lot of these banks and debt collection agencies are screwing people with their interest charges and [***], at a time of recession, I think the government should try and help the poor, instead of making it impossible to have your 3 basic needs, let alone money to see a doctor if you are sick, or lose a limb or two.
i take it that parismom has not worked all her life and now living off social security only, she needs to try to pay 20% of 40 chemo treatments and dr. bills.they are blood suckers, sitting on their a-- bothering alot of people that are already sick nough because they can't pay and eat both.
I've received over two dozen calls from these guys to my cell phone. They are looking for someone named Quinticia Young. I am not her, nor do I know her. I keep dialing "8" as instructed to inform them of the wrong number -- usually I get disconnected. Twice I have been connected to a live person and reported the error, however the calls keep coming. This behavior strikes me as against the law, and these guys should be shut down for abusive behavior. If I have to find a plaintiff's attorney to sue them in order to stop these calls, I will do so.
These collectors are relentless and RUDE!!! Do not even bother with trying to reason with them about calling you. They keep asking for AnnaKovacs and I am tired of telling them that the number they are callingis now owned by the Kemper Insurance Company. They are very stupid!!!
Well, that was a nice bit of flame baiting. For anyone that did not realize it, this was an attempt by someone to stir things up. While I have no doubt there are some serious pieces of work at some of these collections agencies, I do not believe that this person is one of them. I would suspect this is an impostor attempting to get people more upset or trying to create a bit of "evidence" for a legal proceeding. Now, with that said, I really don't care for how most of these small firms use all out harassment to attempt to collect a debt. And, as I recall, by law you are only responsible to pay the debt to the original debtor. But, don't quote me on that. I've been too lazy to read the whole debt collection statutes.
you been calling me for 45 days and I never answer the phone. I am disabled and can't pay you. DEAL WITH IT!Hell the phone you call is a magicjack phone that I check about once a month. You are wasting your time. So you are not really causing me any problems, other than deleting your calls. I will be filing bankruptcy in January 2010. It will take me that longto save the money for an lawyer. The bottom line is you are not getting a DIME from me.
I am no longer responsible for these acoounts. I am tired of these people calling, I need my privacy.
Haha...here is what you do...if they are calling your cell phone add them to your contacts list. For "name" write DO NOT ANSWER in all caps. Then everytime they call....and they call often...just mute the call! These people are nasty and rude. They don't want to hear it when you tell them your not the person they're looking for. The last one told me they were going to get a copy of my mortgage and tax records and verification of income. Mortgage & tax are public record..go for it. They lie lie lie & voilate every fair debt collection law they can. When I asked for the company name and address she told me I was getting "hostile", would be reported (to whom I have no idea) and hung up.Since then I haven't answered any of their calls.
They've called three times in two days on two numbers. An automated voice implores me to call 1-800-280-1565, and assures me that it's not a sales call. I owe a lot of money to a lot of folks, and haven't paid a penny in about three years to anyone but Citibank -- because they did the right thing and went to court. If these guys want money, that's what they'll have to do. Or, they can keep leaving messages on my voice mail and get nothing.
