Started receiving calls yesterday from this number - 6 total and so far 4 today. It seems they call about every 2 hours. I tried answering but no one on other line spoke. I also tried calling it but it would get past the area code. Has anyone successfully stopped these calls being made? Based on previous comments, how long do these calls last before you no longer get them?

I too have received calls from this number; this afternoon alone, there were eight calls. I do not answer and can simply hope that one day, my number will be dropped from whatever number bank these people are using. Wish the "Do Not Call" program really worked.

Keep getting calls from someone with a foreign accent telling me that there is a problem with my computer. I told this person that this isn't true, but they keep calling.

Indian man called, said he was from microsoft, and told me my laptop and ipad were infected. He tried to prove it to me by showing me files on my computer that could not be deleted by me. I kept asking him how he knew this was happening on my laptop, but didn't get a satisfactory answer. And then he wanted access to my computer so he could delete the files for me. I told him I didn't have time anymore and hung up. I went online to check this number out. Glad I didn't pursue it further.

I received several calls. I had to be rude. Is there no do not call service for this activity. We need the older phone companies back that would care about their customers.

they don't bother leaving a message and caller id identifies them as "unknown." So to hell with them.

Every time they call & I answer the phone, they hang up on me. I wish they would stop wasting my time.

This is a scam. They claim yo be Microsoft saying something is wrong with my computer and it is going to crash. This numbers keep changing but it's always the same scam.Microsoft would not have anyone calling you. They would be announcing a patch/download that you can do yourself and don't have to buy.

This number has been calling for several days, many times a day. "Name not found" is what caller ID displays. Never leaves a message. From this site, already knew it was a computer scam. The 4th call today I decided to answer. Sure enough, thick Indian accent saying he was from the Windows desk, and did I know about all the virus activity on my computer. I asked him what MAC address was in the traffic logs. "Huh"? I told him I know how to read a traffic log, and asked the MAC address associated with the source traffic. When I asked again, he answered "888FFF". At least he knew a MAC address is a Hexadecimal#. He hung up when I replied he was not even close. Darn, next question for him was the source IP of the offending traffic. Next question was going to be "how is it my Linux computer traffic shows up in your Windows desk"? :)

When they call tell them there has been a murder here and you are the detective in charge and you need their name, number and reason for calling. Tell them you may need them to come downtown for questioning. They won't call back!
