Called my home phone, no message.

Called again and left no message. Some others said that this number is being used by the fundraiser MDS Communications. This is actually a corrupt, aggressive scammer that pockets more than half the money they take in for the various causes they claim to represent. They call from many different numbers too. Never give any donations or information.

After getting call after call and one that even spoofed my phone number I purchase a "CPR" call blocker. Nice 2x3 call display screen and a big red button that you press to block unwanted calls. It has memory for 1000 calls. I've had it a few months now and have blocked 62 spoofed calls.

Try the TrueCaller app. It's great about blocking and identifying spam.

GG I received a call from 985 635 4267 just now - did not answer I'm also on do not call list and get a dozen calls a day.

Called my New York City area code cell phone number, but did not leave a message.

Have been receiving calls from this #, with no ID, other than "Covington, Louisiana". As I'm on the no call list, Ive assumed it was a bill collector with the wrong # or something similar to that. I never answer calls from unknown #s but today I was irritated by their persistence and answered only so that I could tell them they had the wrong # & to stop calling. Was quite surprised to have a woman immediately launch into a spiel about the plight & struggles of all those affected by the hurricane in Texas. I was immediately puzzled because the phone call sounded like it was coming from halfway across the world & the woman's accent was so strong I had trouble understanding parts. But, I was trying to be patient & wait for a pause to politely decline as I do not donate over the phone. I was kind of spacing out, waiting for the pause, when it registered what she had just said. Hurricane Katrina......"Hurricane Katrina has just devastated millions of people living in Texas and you can help". Assuming she made a mistake, I said, "Hurricane Katrina? Texas? Are you sure?", to which she confirmed. I don't think I've laughed that hard, for that long, in years! I'm quite sure they will never call me again but I really want them to! Especially when they come up with a new gimmick or scam to ask for money! Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. Some people are just not meant to be criminals.

Calls and hangs up when voice msg. starts!!!!Will these ever end??? It's absolutely disgusting they can get awaywith bothering people who are busy taking care of others and thosewho are ill or disabled themselves!!! This is pathetic!!!!!!!

I got a call from this # earlier today; thanks to all who posted, I've now blocked it. I, too, am on the DNC list, but there are so many exceptions to who is not supposed to call, it's essentially useless. Scammers don't pay attention to rules, either. I find that the easiest way to deal with these is to not answer if I don't recognize the name and/or the number. If it's important, they'll leave a msg - if not, I didn't want to talk to them anyway.
