This # was associated with an unauthorized grab of a few hundred bucks from my bank account that made it look like it was made from AT&T. This area code comes from Canada, and I have never lived in Canada nor done business there!

My bank account was also hit for a withdrawal of a couple of hundred bucks as an ACH transaction with this number listed as the "payment ID" for AT&T. I haven't had an account with AT&T in over 3 years!!

Problem

My mom's been getting this mystery automatic deduction intermittently for over a year; this month it's $258- the bank is highly uncooperative in not revealing who the money is going to or stopping the charge from reappearing. Makes me think they're complicit...all they will verify is "well, it's not ATT"- so who IS it, and how do you make it stop?

My mom has been being ripped off by these people (Att Payment XXXXX.... Myw9x , Web ID: 9864031005) intermittently for over a year; the bank AND AT&T just stonewall her and won't help- makes me think they're in on it. You ever find out anything more about it?

I just got hit by a company using this same caller ID. I'm wondering if changing my pin will help. Ithink I'll try that. It takes a pretty sophisticated thief to be able to cause these kind of problems. The best advice isto check your account on a daily basis.

just happened to me too - 74.64 from 986-403-1005 I guess they just stole it - I'll try to get it back from my bank on Monday

The party at 9864031005 grabbed $103.66 and overdrafted me on 8/19/2013. I did not find out until the bank sent me a paper notice. I had not used funds in that account since July, so I guess that inactivity made me seem like fair game. I am in touch with the credit union trying to get it resolved.
