I have this number on my daughters verizon bill more times than I can count starting from 9-11-08 they have take my minutes way over my limit to the tune of over 250.00 Then they add tax on top of that. I called Verizon and they said it was a blocked number and that is the way it shows up on your phone. He also said it was a land line and that my daughter had to be talking to them for the minutes to be so high. One call was 146 minutes. All of these calls are incoming. Verizon is doing nothing about it. Her received call log doesn't even show that she received a call from anyone on most of these days. All I know to do now is pay this bill and see what happens next month. Does anyone have any suggestions.
GKR,I looked at my bf's online Verizon bill. There are 3 9999999999 calls throughout the month. Calls only lasting 2-3 minutes. Either way, I was pissed off because in talking to Verizon, they told me that it was either an "unavailable" call or a "restricted" call. I'd be happier to know it was an unavailable call personally. Restricted calls spell TROUBLE. Trust me, I know. If his calls from a 9999999999 call are lasting 120 minutes, I'd say you need to hire a PI to check out the situation at hand. Sorry, but that is what I would do for sure!
Blockbuster! i think it is kind if funny, this number...except that they call even when I return my movies.
Ace,These calls are "Unavailable" or Restricted." Regardless of what carrier you have. Either way, they suck. I found these 9999999999 numbers on my boyfriends Verizon cell phone account. Went crazy thinking some B*&ch was blowin up his phone restricted. Never said anything because the calls are only 2-3 minutes long and there were only 3 of them in one month. I'm assuming the have to be (better be) unavailable rather than restricted.
It is a default setting on dialer software. Most larger TM companies have good software that can have the caller ID be whaterver they want (depending on who they're calling for they can have that clients # be the caller ID). The company calling you hasn't gotten around to placing the caller ID number yet.
I got a call from a women, who called and asked for my husband. I asked her if I could take a message and tell him who is calling, and she wouldn't give me any information. There was a long silent pause before she came on the line also..I thought it was virginmobile but I am starting to think it wasn't. Most places like that tell who is calling..Weird..
Linda,Incomimg 9999999999 calls lasting for 1-4 minutes would be understandable. But calls for 15 minutes? Um, I'd maybe agree with Steve on this one. Verizon told me that the calls were from either "unavailable" or "restricted" numbers. Hopefully, they were just unavailable calls. Restricted calls are NEVER good.
