Caller saying that I have a subscription to Microsoft and they are going to take 299.99 out of my account on the 31st for renewal. They also stated that I need to be sitting at my computer to click on the link to cancel.

Didn't leave a message, when I tried to call the number back I received a recording that repeats "Press 1 if you live in California, Press 2 if you don't live in California" then eventually says "Goodbye" and hangs up.

The number that was shown is fraudulent- most of your operation would seem to violate Federal Communication Laws. Does that not worry you.
