Don't call this number. It appears on your computer screen as though it is Microsoft, but I believe this is a ransom-type scam. It freezes up the computer and when you are talking to the "technician" he'll want to take control of your computer.

Caller put me directly on hold for 2.5 minutes and then a recording stated the call would be recorded. Another few seconds of being on hold and the recording returned to say someone would call me back in the next half hour

State they are calling from Service Canada and that your SIN has expired. Service Canada WOULD NOT call you to advise you of that.
