This was a recorded offer to make me rich. I've listened in the past just to get to the "remove me from your list" option, which in the past I have done.

they call me every morning at 9:30am eastern. when I put them on block they still get through.

Automated message informed me that my SSN is connected with criminal activity and I should call them before they proceed with legal action.

I have received multiple calls per day from this number for at least the past few weeks.

Pressing 2 doesn't do anything and their is no confirmation given to the effect that it will be done.

I called google ads and they informed me of this scam.

hi this is officer Stacy Edwards calling you from the department of social security. The call then goes on to state that legal proceedings are going to cancel the social security number etc. Pure fraud.

I did not answer the phone ... but ran the number on Internet. Call was made at 7:49 AM on Nov. 19 to our number in Marystown, Newfoundland, Canada. Definitely not a recognized area code here.
