My friend began receiving yahoo instant messages from this number last night. The im's are copies of im's i sent her months ago. apparently, the number is associated with im's sent from yahoo. I don't know how my account got hacked, but be careful and report it to yahoo if it happenns to you.
I almost fell for the exact same thing. Your story is a duplicate of mine minus the money. I on the other had had huge red flags that I paid attention to. Claims to be from a roofing team. Somehow knows real name and city. I keep getting texts like this from different numbers, they stop responding when I ask how they have my number.
