Got 4 calls today (again). Finally answered one on 3rd ring - after 10 seconds recorded message advised it was an HNS (?) charity solicitation. I hung up. A shame the the national "do not call" list is ineffective!

I received a call from this number for the first (and hopefully the last) time today. I didn't bother answering it. I'm in Alberta, so they are calling all over the place.

I have had several missed calls on my cell phone from (123) 456-7890, which I thought to be odd. BUT last month there were charges and reversed charges on my credit card statement from whoever this is.......and I have no idea how they got my cc info. I cancelled the card immediately!

These are other numbers to watch out for 1-800-953-2092, 1-954-745-0293, 1-517-931-2158, 1-866-840-1377. Non-stop harassment.

They call every day, 3 or 4 times. They won't take no for an answer. I'm ready to sue if possible

I too am in the Maritimes Canada. The number 1-123-456-7890 showed up. Thank you for the info. There doesn't seem to be any logic behind these fake numbrs. Perhaps telemarketers.?

This number is a Non-Responsive Telephone Number (NRTN) given to companies that do not allow call-backs on there outgoing lines. In many cases it is a legit company, but in seemingly most it is not. Many scammers use NRTN's to contact people so that they can not be traced. There is not much that can be done to prevent this right now because the fake 123-145-7890 number is not blocked on the Do-Not-Call list. This is because it is not a legitimate number. You may be able to setup your phone to not allow calls from NRTN's, but you will have to contact your provider for more info on this. For all of those that have been worried about these calls, don't be. The only way a scammer can hurt you is if you give them information, which we should all no better than to do if we do not know who we are talking to.

Picked up after a ring or two. The number has shown up many times on caller ID. They claimed to be primus Canada.Took a few moments for them to pick up. I asked to be removed from the calling list, says it takes 48 hours.??? Seems fishy.

Call comes in, I answer, hello hello hello....no response, just a hang up.not the first time this # has called here. I am in the Maritimes, Canada also.
