Mine was the Windows scam too. I asked them to take my name off of their calling list and they asked me "What's wrong with you" in a very smug voice. I asked what was wrong with them and then asked them again to take me off their list or I would report them to the CRTC. They then hung up on me. I then reported them to the CRTC.

A woman told me that my computer has been infected over the past few weeks and it would crash in a day unless I followed the directions she gave me. She said she works for windows and that my computer has been sending messages to them. I asked her if her services would be free, she said, no. So I hung up!! I believe she would have taken my card information and drained my account.

Last spring I was getting daily calls from this number around 4pm. I was always in class at that time, and so I was unable to answer the phone. They would sometimes leave messages but there would be no sound. One time I finally was able to answer it and they claimed to be someone from a Suicide Hotline. They asked for a Mandy. I said, "You have the wrong number." and they hung up. But the calls continued for a few more months until eventually, they stopped suddenly.

repeated calls to a 97 year old mother who has no computer. often foreign accents. will not stop, can be 2 - 3 times a day and upset her. once or twice they got time to say computer.

You can just tell them that you're on the DNC list, even if you're not - it freaks them right out XD

I am getting this phone call another every 7-9 minutes no one will say anything and there is no background noise when I say tell me who this is they hang up! I blocked the number but it still is coming through! What should I do?

Also, I forgot to provide this detail, but I have a 614 area code.

So I am not the only one to receive a call from 1234567790! I was quite surprised to hear my talking phone read off the numbers. I did say Hello but there was no response. Thanks to those who posted messages.
