Message texted to me: I have a confidential proposal to discuss with you contact my email (anthoncobelasy@gmail.com) for further instruction.
Got a text message from this number saying I had won $1,000,000 in the national lottery. Respond by e-mail to make a claim. There was an address provided. Not ever having purchased a ticket, it wasn't credible that I had won. I deleted the whole thing.
Got a text from this number with a link and a message saying "we are closely monitoring your account, please sign in for info" and then the link leads you to a bunk Facebook sign-in page where the font isn't quite right and doesn't exactly look legit. Beware! Major scammer!!!
Received text from this number, but indicated it was from "8478588021@wellclient.com". Said "MSG: Wells Fargo Blocked Card" then provided a link to click on: "www.advanced-verification.com" SCAM!!
Just got a text from this number. Here's the text in full: "1 of 2FRM:Dean AndrewsSUBJ:Survey Consultants WantedMSG:Evaluators wanted Earn $945.00/weekly Send Full Name, Address Email and Cell#(Con't) 2 of 2to get started.Applicants must be 18+ contact 8048008916(End)"No idea what it is but figured it was spam. Disappointingly promising though. Hate that it's spam.
Received a text through that number you stated (141)020-0500Here’s the text(word for word):FRM: (240)-(585)-8779MSG Your {C~U} card has been blocked for the moment, for details call urgently at 240585877.Here are some things I noticed, first obvious thing, I don’t remember having a CU(credit union) card and then , they don’t write my name in the text,I called and they thank me for calling “customer service” . They don’t state what company they are. They give me the option to contact customer service but FIRST, I must enter my card number. I enter some BS number and they call it invalid and wait for me to enter it once more. I don’t enter anything in hopes of reaching a customer service representative but the automated message remains silent and hangs up because I never entered a card number.
"[bunch of stuff I'll omit] Congrats! your cell phone number was selected as the lucky winner to the late Michael D. Lewis' Will" Funny...my husband's phone got the exact same text, so I doubt I'm "the lucky winner!"Just for general info; code 141 comes from either India or Scotland...gonna guess India on this one...
I got a text from this number simply stating "Email me" and then gave an outlook email address. I deleted it right away since it was obviously a scam or at the very least a wrong number.
