I received a call from this number 202-417-2021 threatening me with going to jail, and charges being filed on me for defrauding some bank, and the government. So I am reporting it to you, and to charter.

I also received a call from these people. They left a voice mail saying I had committed bank or check fraud and I my employer was going to be contacted in lieu of litigation unless I responded by the end of the business day. Made me nervous because I had just applied for a new checking account 2 days prior. Anyway I called them just to see if it was legit. The lady who picked up did not state where I had called "RED FLAG" and sounded very "ghetto" for lack of a better term. She then tried to identify me by giving various last 4 of other peoples SSN#s all of which were wrong and in between each one putting me on 30 holds. Finally she decided the call had been made in error and hung up. I did manage to get the name of the company. National Recovery Services.

Caller left a voice mail message regarding a restraining order and that I needed to call back within 4 hours to talk with a litigator regarding a payday loan, otherwise, they would be calling my employer to garnish wages. This is a SCAM!!

i received a call from this number today on both my home phone and my cell. it was a male recording that used my full name, provided no company name, and said there was an allegation of check fraud against me, they had to call my employer and that i had to call back or i would be arrested, etc. my husband took the recording to the police station who confirmed that this is a total scam to try and get information to rip people off.

I received a call from this number saying i committes check fraud. I dont even write checks. The system said i had to the end od the business day to return call. Do they was going to contact my employer. Return a call to the number no answer.

I just got a call from them. Telling me I have 4 hours to call 1-202-417-2021. Was getting these kind of calls earlier this year. All kindx of threats, but all a bunch of BS. Thought they were done, but here we go again.......... SCAM!!And they think I wii send them money. Might work on some people with dept problems. No debt problems here and I sure as HELL they are barking up the wrong tree. They are lower than the scam they are trying to pull

Do NOT answer it or call it back, it's a scam. They are trying to "slam" your number so when you get your phone bill you have outrageous charges from a scammer company. PASS the word. They called and left a message stating I owe a bank for a bad check or check fraud from my work. haha.funny thing is, I don't have a checking account. ONLY a savings with a debit. Only wrote a check 2x in my life when I was 18 and that account is not been around in many many moons. Also, I'm self employed, so I knew it was a scam, but I double checked with my attorney who gave me the feed on what it really was.

I've been getting the same calls for about a month now. They also use 202-803-5785. I don't write checks, no payday loans. It's so irritating!
