I received a call today from a unknown number. A male recording left a message that stated "We are contracting my name. In reference to an allegation of check or bank fraud. It is imperative that we speak to you regarding this allegation. Our office has demanded contacting your employer to verify your employment to issue paperwork to you to appear in court. If you wish to stop said action press 9 or call 2024172021. Once again contact 2024172021, you have until the close of business today. Well I wish they would, cause its such a scam. If it were true, there would be police at your door, fraud is criminal, not civil. They turn the info over to police or state for charges. If true they would have all your info from a check or bank info. They could send you a certified letter (that would be mail fraud, and they would be highly punishable). Don't waste your time with scammers they have time to waste and harass people. Never send them money, it is bogas. Call your prosecutor's office against them. Get a call blocker like Call ControlFurther NOTE:They had called a couple months back and the same thing. I guess it wasn't that IMPERATIVE that we speak to me, over two months later the longer they wait the more it shows how bogas it is. It is a scam, be careful

I received a call from 202-417-2021. I also have been receiving mail from old debts that my ex-wife incurred some time ago. I have since rebuilt my credit to a 700+ score and I am extremely careful on my credit and debt obligations. I recently took a temporary contract in South Carolina which required me to lease a apartment for 6 months. I found out the statue of limitations is 10 years on certain types of debt in this state. I must have come up on a skip trace program and this is a last ditch effort for them to try to collect on my ex wife's debt

Its all fraud. They call my phone for my boyfriend the only place he has given my number is for job apps online. I believe their getting some peoples numbers from online apps. Its just annoying!

Received a call from this number this evening. Talked to a Charles Knight who is suppose to be the supervisor. Got a P.O. Box 223 Washington D.C. When he was supposed to be retrieving information phone disconnected. When called immediately back SURPRISE he just walked out to lunch. This call scared me thinking my daughter was in serious trouble. I am handing all this info over to the F.B.I. just like I did before when they were working on another situation along with the Mounted Police in Canada. I do not play with these jerks.

just got a call on my cell for my husband stating that he is involved in some check fraud - he doesnt have a check acctand to call bk by end of business today or else go to court

Don't let these creeps scare you. They have no legal foundation to sue you. Also, if you were being investigated for bank fraud, a private collection company wouldn't be calling you- law enforcement would, or they'd more than likely give you a visit. These creeps are doing whatever they can to collect in most cases very old and out of the statute of limitations debts. I repeat, they cannot legally go after you. Don't admit to any debt, as it may reset any old obligation.

This was a call stating a restraining order has been filed and that I have fours hours to contact or have my attorney contact to resolve this matter.
