Have an item listed on Craigs List. Got a text from 210-100-001. Asking for lowest price and to contact at email address of BERTA583@GMAIL.COM. to discuss. I text back a price, and later emailed a better description of item. Got email back saying he would buy and wanted my Paypal email address and name. Said he would deposit into my acct. and have truck sent to pick up item. Said he would call, but was on a contracted job "in the mountains" until Aug 27. I emailed back asking for his name and where he lived. Have not heard back.

Called and asked me to return call about a musical instrument that must be returned immediately. Got my name wrong as well. Scammers.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Sent an email trying to encourage people to call Bank of America at this number. As phishing attempt go, this one was better than most. I can smell these things a mile away.
