Received 2 calls so far today. A man with a thick Indian accent who said his name was Jim, asked for me by name. He told me he was with technical support from the Windows company and that my computer was sending error messages to Microsoft. I asked why a MacBook would be doing that and he hung up.

The owner of this phone number is a felon. The authorities know about this felon but they do nothing. What really pisses me off is the fact that our law enforcers do nothing to stop this telephone crime. Apparently the FBI is using all their assets to investigate global warming. You can report these crooks: I fell for that gag: It’s just a waste of time because the authorities do nothing to stop the caller. I don’t even answer my land line any more: That phone line has become totally useless because of all the criminal callers. I have a call blocker: Yes I fell for that gag too: The criminals just use a different number the next time they call. Caller ID has become useless as well: The crooks simply provide a fake phone number. I have gotten calls that show my own number as being the caller. I get caller ID numbers showing that the call came from a nearby town when it actually came from a distant state. I even got a caller ID number of the bank where I have accounts. I have my phone numbers on the national do not call list but the felons probably use that list to get more phone numbers. I face this serious criminal activity every day but hear nothing on the news.

Judy, Jim called me, too. I let them yak away telling me that they have been monitoring some strange warnings for the past two days and he wants to help me fix the problem. I play dumb and ask him how he can do that? He tells me once again he is from the Technical Department. Then I tell him he's the scammer my Mother warned me about and I hang up. How stupid do they think we are?

Just called my number, told him that I would report him because I am a computer consultant and know about these scams, he says so what, nobody will do anything to him

Have received three calls in less than 24 hours from this scammer. They say they are calling from the TechnicalDepartment and my computer needs technical support.

I'm with the technical department, calling about your computer...tried to get me to run Event Viewer. I cussed him out before I could figure out why he would be trying to get me to do that

Kind of interesting to see all these tech support scam reports on this number.I registered a domain name 2 days ago. I've been getting piles of spam email regarding website design and SEO services ever since, and now a call comes from this number, trying to sell me website design services.Interesting, because apparently the tech support scammers and the website design spammers are the same group.
