They called me last night at like 5 a.m. and then I tried to call back because I didn't know who it was and it said the number is not in service. So I Googled the number. I was surprised to find this.

I'm happy to give a reference. why dont' they leave a message even if it's generic in nature ? So annyoying i'll never answer it when it shows up on caller id.

Possibly the call was placed using fake caller I'd. It is now a free application on droid and I phones. The person can select and put in any number and make it appear as if the are calling from the fake number.

I received a couple of calls from these folks while I was away from my desk. It's Aegis/PeopleSupport, an outsourced customer care company in the Philippines. A ton of companies use these guys for basic customer care and tier 1 tech support. I'm not sure why they don't leave a message, definitely makes them seem fishy.

They called my cell phone, asking if I was someone I'm not they using my first name and a bogus last name. They asked me to confirm my address, which was the address of a major medical center in the Chicago suburbs. I told them tI was not the person they were looking for and told them the name of the medical center. They asked for the phone number. I told them to look it up. I finally hug up, because they would not give me any information

They provided technical support for Network Solutions / APlus.net

I answered, but they hung up

Network Solutions, as mentioned above, at least in my case. They left a message that I was actually able to understand on the 3rd listening - I'm glad I didn't answer.

Claimed to be representing a Doctor. It looks like its just a front number for something fishy since many posts state they were calling by a different name for a different purpose.
