Tried calling my in-laws on a Verizon cell phone. I was in Minnesota. It showed up on their caller ID as 214-586-0999. Every 15-20 seconds while we were talking we heard an eerie voice saying "Lisa" and then some deranged sounding laughter. I tried called back and it happened again. I tried a third time and the real number came up on the caller ID (an Iowa number) and then it was ok. Googled the number and got here...strange...
Not possible in this case. In order to file a complain, you must provide the Company Name of registered number. I called the 214 number and it tried to connect me to a representative....and then disconnected.
Recieved several calls from this number. When I answered no one was on the line. When I called the number the line was busy
lol, i just dont know why so many of yah are over reacting. there is nothing wrong with the number. especially for people who have relatives and friends out of the US.i understand that maybe other people are using the number wrongly but if u look at the number as another caller ID number then it makes all the difference, otherwise its just a phone company that provides services to people cheaply.i believe the problem is not the number, the problem is the people exploiting the number.
i think your friends are really teasing you ...Hahaha!! funny story all the time.. be good..
Dear Texas Attorney General's Office,I get international calls from family members from 214-586-0999. These are calls that I wish to get. The above poster is a moron. Thank you.
I recently received a complaint from a local College who had received about 60 calls/messages that were inflammatory in nature. The # was (214) 586-0999. After completing extensive internet research and interviewing a technician for the controlling company in Kentucky, I was advised that this number is a routing #, primarily for internet calls. Skype is evidently a primary contributor as well as like service providers. Calls are sent to this switch in Texas when the number dialed does not conform to US dialing standards. This can happen due to packet loss over the internet or missed digit(s). If the # is able to be routed even though there are missing digit(s), it is. The number is also primarily for incoming international calls. If you see the # on your caller ID, don't bother calling it back. There is a message and it will seem like you're on hold, but you are not. No one will EVER pick up because it is just a routing #. It is also not feasible to attempt to track back the caller seeing that they are 99.9% of the time, outside of the US. Hope this helps...sorry it's not better news.
