I own a Sprint iPhone and started receiving calls from 865-6696 about a week and a half ago. After blocking every area code associated with the number 865-6696, and still receiving calls from this 7 digit number, I finally spoke with someone at Sprint who was able to clue me into the fact that those 7 digits represent the word UNKNOWN. I'm fairly sure I've had a call show up with the word unknown before, but can't say for certain. Anyway, with this information, I've come to find out there is no way to block it because the call isn't actually coming from 865-6696, but rather an "unknown" or private number. Her suggestion to me: change my number - yeah right! Also, she told me that some apps sold through the iphone have terms of service which state they can sell your number to third parties so be sure to read those before downloading any new apps.

This # has been calling ever since I got the new iPhone (sprint).I'll answer and not say a word... They will repeat my name a few times before hanging up. I do that to see if I can hear what's going on in the background, and it's always just a bunch of other ppl talking as if it's a call center or something. Have no idea who this is or why they're calling, but Sprint needs to fix it for iPhone users!!! Very annoying!

Anyone know a Vinny Z? He calls me & this number comes up 865-6696, no area code! Not his actual number. I ask him y he's calling me from this number, asking him what # it is, he claimshe isnt! Says he's dialing me normal. Hes a con artist! If anyone has answered calls or Actually spoken to anyone when this call came in, PLEASE mention it on here. He told me in the past he had a free googleNumber May be using this # to scam people!! Dont give him any money or do any transactions with him! Does any1 live in florida, specifically orlando? I have an iPhone 4s thru Sprint as well

Disregard last comment i made on vinny. Finally got it figured it out, whenever some1 callsYou *67 or from a private number, whether its a collection agency, A crazy person, a scam, etc... anytime the # is blocked, to callYou, it will come up as these odd numbers. I have iphone 4s sprint. I just dialed my cell phonenumber *67, using my land line & it did it!! Try dialing urNumber using *67 before the area code & u will see.

This was really bugging me too. New iPhone 4s with Sprint. Turns out that 865-6696 is the digit translation for the word "unknown" Smart phone being too smart.

I've got the iphone 4s with Sprint and I've been getting this call too. Could it be from an app that we've downloaded? My fiance has a 4s too from Sprint but hes getting no calls. I answered the call one time and it was just noise and then hung up. All that shows up is 865-6696

received a call twice from this number, but there was no area code. I am in the DFW area.

I have been getting calls from this number up too five times a day!!! Sprint says nothing shows up on my call log as anyone calling!! How can I stop this. Also yes I have a Iphone 4s...makes me wonder

This number just called me as i was trying to place a call. It hung up before I could answer. No area code or anything. I just got my iPhone through the sprint network.....

Just received a phone call from this number and the caller, from another country wanted to optimize my PC, by making me press certain buttons and me telling them what my PC says after we pressed the buttons. Total scam, not sure what for exactly, because we told the caller that a photo a guy running across the screen when we pressed the buttons he asked to press, hehhehehe
