Never gave her name ,just said I was approved for SSI and since married needed to talk to husband to an do application which confused me,cause I file disability and not SSI,they already should have already have on file and I got an attorney, wouldn’t he have contacted me first?
Received call from 215.597.5697 4.11.17 @ 11:37am from General Services, left voicemail wanting to know if I am receiving my SS check. Called the SSA 800#, said it was a scam.
This is a scam i got a call from this number about my husbands on time survivor benifit. She was good she knew how much money was deposited. Do not pick up the phone.I called the fcc and reported the call. I d. Said general services.Beware scammed.
Real number for Social Security application claims processor. Just applied for Soc Sec retirement and the person processing the claim had questions for me
This is a legitimate Social Security number. I received several calls from this number after filing a form at my local Social Security office, spoke with a nice lady who was trying to resolve some issues with my application. Not a scam. The caller ID showed up as "U.S. Government" which I was initially skeptical of, but turned out to be completely legitimate. Wish it said "Social Security" which would have been a lot clearer and it wouldn't look so much like a scam.
Got a call from this number asking to schedule an interview as I applied for a SSA customer service job on USAjobs. Real number.
Folks, I have the final scoop on this number. It is a total SCAM. Here's how it works. That #215-597-5657 was, at one time, the real # for Soc. Sec. in Philly. What the scammer does is use a number that was real but is now disconnected to make you think you are really calling SSA. Then the caller may ask you to call a different # for a return call. If you call them back and give your info., then they can steal your identity. The positive comments that you are reading on this site are likely written by the scammers themselves. When I received a call from this #, I immediately called the REAL SSA and they were kind enough to call the # for me. Then they told me it was a scam and how it worked. I wanted to pass this information onto to other potential victims. DO NOT FALL PRAY.
She just called. Said was from social security and anted my personal ss and birth date to confirm. I recently applied to medicare so i assume someone in medicare office is selling the info. I will not give info over the phone to someone. If it is the medicare /social security office they should identify themselves and not ask for personal dat like that. I googled number and comes out as: robert j fisher, philadelphia
