just got an Alaska Airlines Visa. Applied about 2 weeks ago, got it last Thursday, activated it Thursday and got the call from this number. didn't answer it which is my normal response to unknown numbers. when i googled it and got this info, I emailed BofA fraud folks so we'll see what they say. I believe that whoever this is got my information as a result of the online application OR activation. i believe there's a security breach at BofA. just my 2 cents
You people are idiots with way to much free time. Instead of sitting on the internet doing your "searches" try calling the banks and talk with them. Fia card services is a subsidary of Bank of America. ever see the back of a BofA credit card??? it says FIA CARD SERVICES ON THE BACK! I hope you all burn in a fire in real life and get over it! your life is not that important... you didnt miss much on the phone.. and yes we love calling during dinner.. and so do you.. cause your wifes cooking is horrible! FACE PALM!!!! side note: these phones numbers are used for thank you calls (calling customers to say thank you for doing buisness, they do not request any security information) or its a upgrade call(just saying your account got upgraded, again no security information asked for)
I keep getting calls from this number as well, but I always miss them. When I try to call back, the line is always busy. Finally I just added them to my contacts as IGNORE and made it so that when they call they are automatically sent to VM and I don't even know they called.
I've gotten 2 calls from this number--the most recent one this morning, and they hung up when I answered. I'm a Bank of America customer, so I don't think this is really from them, since BofA would have left a message on my voice mail if it was legit!
Called me as well... coincidentally it came after I signed up for BofA online banking. picked up without saying a word, they said hello, and hung up
This company calls me EVERY day Mon thru Fri. At least 2 calls per day. Have had days where they have called 6x. They have never left a message yet, which means I will NEVER call them back. Companies who want to speak to someone they are calling need to learn how to leave a message! They are wasting their time calling unless their intention is to annoy me. It's working!Side note to Joe: If you want anyone to believe your story of them saving you money, maybe you should spend a little more time explaining who they are and how they saved you money. Personally, I believe you are totally full of crap.
I also got this call several times with the caller ID saying "Bank of America". On another occasion, I had called Bank of America on their 800 numbr and checked if BOA would be calling me. They categorically said BOA does not call any body by phone. So, be aware and do not give any confidential information. Even better is not to pick up the phone because once these scammers come to know that the number is a valid one, they would sell it to their other scamming brethern.
