CALLS EVERYDAY LEAVES NO MESSAGE, KNOWS MY NAME

This isn't a scam. It is Bank of America. If you just signed up for an account, they're making a courtesy call. If your information is compromised to the point a scam artists knows you just set up a BOA account, you have problems beyond random phone calls. Answer the phone, talk to them and the calls will stop. They're not asking for your SS#, your bank account#, your mom's maiden name or how you take your coffee in the morning. I suspect the people who are openly lying and saying this is a scam run this paranoid message board and want to keep their content fresh by posting paranoid nonsense.

When I called the # back, it stays busy...It is NOT BOA, I know 100%

It has to be a fraud....I do not have a BofA account...never have, never will. So why would they be calling ME?Don't give out any info, people. I will continue to ignore the calls, and I suggest you do the same.

Call are made twice to my prepaid cell phone every day. No one answer. Is there any way I can find out who own this number.

I got a call from this number today. They did not leave a message. But I will say that less than 2 weeks ago, someone attempted to compromise our BOA accounts. We had to close all of our accounts and reopen with new account numbers, etc. I'm not answering any calls from this number.

It is indeed BOA and they were calling to thank me for my recent account. Knew way too much info to be a scam, did not ask for anything personal or identifying type of information that could have been used for ID theft. Was very professional and very polite. Do not believe it to be a scam but a legitimate call. No pressures or questions other than was I happy with my service and they even knew the name of the girl at the branch I went to. That would be pretty hard to do if they were not for real.

Acctually you paranoid skag, it is relevant. It is BOA. I had a password issue about a month ago, Shortly after I opened my online account. They solved the problem.After finding out who it is that was calling I answered, they asked the standard verification crap, asked if I was cool with the service and my account to date.They knew my issue which a scammer wouldn't know. If a scammer already knows I had a password issue with an account I signed up for a month ago, we have a bigger problem than phishing and so on.Sometimes, all you have to do is answer the phone to find out who's calling. That is unless you don't pay your bills and are scared the bill collectors are starting to use new phone numbers in an effort to turn you upside down and shake the change out of your pockets.Hint, to pay you bills on time, you may want to consider giving up paid internet connections and your paranoid pursuits

i just called BOA. they said it is not them calling. I too set up a new account recently. DO NOT ANSWER these calls! DO NOT GIVE INFO!
