Why would anyone confirm any info at all to a cold call. Keep in mind your voice could be recorded @ used somehow. This is not BOA calling. Its not even an 800 number.
anyone who is saying it's not a scam is probably someone involved in the scam trying to get people to fall for it
They just called me and said the wrong name on the card.. They had my first name and only part of my second name.. Pretty sure it wasn't bank of America. I refused to confirm the spelling because it was obviously wrong on their end, but correct on my card.
I opened up a BoA banking acct a few weeks ago. I got a phone call earlier today, first one I missed and no one left a message. Second time I picked up and they tried to say they were from BoA. It didnt sound right so I said listen if you can tell me the name of the lady that set up my account I will talk to you. Then the person hung up and havent heard back from them since
They called my cell phone and I didn't answer. I called back and the voice stated "BANK OF AMERICA" It is NOT a SCAM.
Bank of America calls from an 800 number. Since I am in Texas and opened my account in Texas and they called my office number, not my home or my cell and no voice message was left that makes FIVE reasons I know this is a scam. Sory, Seeno...maybe you work for these [***]?

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
