I had gotten an email from "Bank of America" stating that there was fraudulent activity on my online banking and told me to click on a link to enter information to confirm my identity. I did it answered lots of personal information such as SS number and account number. After I entered everything, later I noticed their logo was a bit different from bank of america's logo in my history. I know I was scammed after that.Later, Bank of America confirmed that someone from Ohio had logged into my online bank account. I got a call from this number many times, they never leave a message and when you call them back you either get a busy signal or and message from "bank of america." Bank of America numbers will be 1800 numbers and not start with an area code. They have all my information and when I opened a new account I can tell they are calling to get my new account information! Don't give them any information they are out to steal your identity!
Called these Bozo's the recording says that it is bank of America and they believe in good customer communication what they don't say is pestering the customers and calling them for the rest of their lives just to make sure that they are in touch with you whether or not you want their friendship is not up to youThe F@kin definition of customer service has changed in the last few years.Be sure to have your caller id blocked when calling them back just in case the low life that works for them is only making minimum wage and collecting caller id's from his job to sell to his second employer THE GANGS Of ID THEFTS OF AMERICA.You know by now the answers they will tell youWE LOST OUR LAPTOP & SOME BAD GUYS GOT A HOLD OF YOUR FREEKIN INFO DUDEBecause when we [***] in steaming vapor all we smell is a rosy flavor.
All, please answer this call as it is a Bank of America trying to assist you in confirminng Direct Deposit to your account. In my case, it is regarding a new employer in need of confirmation from Bank of America. I used Bank of America's Direct Deposit form and ADP's online form for Direct Deposit and was accepted by my employer. However, they still need to confirm it from Bank of America and Bank of America is trying to inform you about the confirmation. This maybe for your benefit. Thank you BoA for the hard work and quick responses. Just love BoA!
Just received a call on my cell phone. I was busy so I didn't answer my phone. In reading the other replies, these are coming from Bank of Amercia. I hate Bank of America, but I recently opened an account with them with my boss to purchase a Flip property. So.....that's why all of the sudden I am getting these calls. They calls come for different states every day...UGH !!! STOP CALLING !!!
I called BOA and verified this is a legitimate caller. In my case, it was to advise me I was eligible to change to a higher interest paying money market account.
This number has called me repeatedly for days now. I finally got around to calling it back and they claim to be BOA. They then proceeded to ask me to confirm my account info, my address, full name and phone number. YOU CALLED ME!!!! Banks will never ask for this kind of information. She then said they were calling about a recent mortgage; I do not have a mortgage with BOA. She said they do not keep info on file; so what are you matching it up against then? I see many posts from ppl saying it cannot be a scam bc they knew too much. This is exactly why you should be concerned. Fraudsters will contact you and recite all the info to make you think it is legit then ask you for the final piece of info that they need to steal your identity ie: SS #, CVN number on the back of card etc. Dont be fooled this is a scam and has no affiiliation with BOA whatsoever
Why on earth would a bank call you to confirm a Direct Deposit? Especially if you used their form? That doesn't make any sense. Sure, maybe if the money was LEAVING your account, but if you were setting it up so money comes INTO your account? NEVER had a bank do this before. Ever.I certainly hope you didn't give them your bank information to "confirm" it.
